The mission of the Johnston County Industrial Authority is to enable businesses and industry to flourish in the county. Success will be measured by increasing per-capita income, the number of jobs and the amount of private investment.

The Johnston County Industrial Authority became active in about 1990. The JCIA is what is known, under the Oklahoma State Statutes, as a Title 60 trust.
There are 9 members of the Industrial Authority. Three members are appointed every year by the Johnston County Commissioners, for a three year term. Some members have retained their appointment for 12 to 15 years, others serve 2 to 3 years.
The Johnston County Industrial Park has been established just west of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. The Industrial Park consists of 80 acres and is home to several businesses.
